Contraindications and precautions before vaccination :

•  If an adult has previously started a vaccination series but has not completed it and requires a second dose, please submit the vaccination record to our center for assessment before making an appointment. 
•  Adult with fever, cold, or other discomfort on the vaccination day are not suitable for vaccination. Should promptly inform our center’s medical staff for rescheduling.
• If an adult has received other vaccines within one month, please consult our center’s medical staff before purchasing. After assessment, if the person is deemed unsuitable for vaccination, our medical staff reserves the right to refuse vaccination, and no refund will be provided.

What is Zoster (Shingles)?

• The herpes zoster virus, also known as the shingles virus, is the same virus that causes the chickenpox.
• If you have had the chickenpox, your immune system may have been able to keep the virus under control.
• However, as we age our immune system naturally weakens. As a result, the shingles virus may reactivate, increasing the risk of developing shingles.
• It can occur anywhere on your body, but it mostly appears as a single stripe of blisters that wraps around either the left or the right side of your torso.

Healthy adults 50 years and older should get two doses of Shingrix, separated by 2 to 6 months. You should get Shingrix even if in the past you

• had shingles
• received Zostavax
• are not sure if you had chickenpox

There is no maximum age for getting Shingrix.
