Before your appointment: 

  • Please fast for 8 hours before your checkup, you may drink water during the period.
  • Consuming alcohol before might affect the results.
  • Stool and urine sample collection kits will be handed to you at the clinic.
  • Urine and stool samples can be submitted later if you are unable to provide them on the day of your checkup, once your urine or stool sample is ready, you should submit them to our clinic within 24 hours.
  • Precautions to take before a Helicobacter pylori breath test:
    •If you are currently taking medication to treat Helicobacter pylori (such as antibiotics), or if you have digestive or gastric ulcers, or if you are taking medications that suppress stomach acid, please stop taking them for 2 weeks before the test. This is to avoid affecting the test results and obtaining false negatives.
    •If you are taking general stomach medications, you should stop taking them one week before the examination.
    •For patients who have completed treatment for Helicobacter pylori, the test should be conducted 4 weeks after completing the treatment course.

**If the person undergoing the examination is under 18 years old, it is necessary for a guardian to be present and accompany them during the check-up**
